I need wardrobe help...

I'm a mess. All of my clothes are just not working for me anymore. Yes, I am able to squeeze my post-pregnany body into my size 6 pre-pregnancy jeans but it just ain't the same. Hello muffin top! I just don't feel stylish anymore. Well lets face it, I've never really been stylish. I try but I just am not good at putting great outfits together. One of my main poblems is that my low-rise jeans rub right on my c-section scar and it is not comfortable at all. I need help. I want to pick up a few must haves for this fall that I can mix and match and that can take me through the winter season while I continue working on losing weight. Please ladies! Give me some advice! Keep in mind I may become a SAHM in the future so cost is a big issue. So as much as a die for Nordys, Old Navy and Target are much more in my price range.

Not sure how I found your blog but I did recently and I love it:) I have the very same problem (except I am squeezing into a 10 or 12). I hate having all of these wonderful clothes in my close that look awful on me! The ultra soft Mossimo sweaters are something that I recently found that I love (found online and they come in several different styles and many colors). Now if it would just get cool enough here to wear a sweater!!

i am NOT the fashionista. this is true. in fact, i often cannot put outfits together for the life of me.

you see, i had Lewie in July, so i lived in tanks for a long time after (however this was a year ago, wen there was actually a summer) when fall rolled around, i got loose tops and still wore the jeans.... what about skirts? long loose skirts? i don't know how you feel about long skirts, but i love them! what about leggings and long loose sweater or long dressy tops with leggings? put a belt right under your boobs (sorry, i don't know how else to word it) so that way it shows off how slim you really are without drawing attention to your waistline? that's what i did.... and then next thing you know, next fall, you'll be all back into your normal jeans and such. trust me.

I am by far the worst at putting clothes together. especially accessorizing too. blah! i hate it. it causes so much frustration that i cry sometimes cause i can't figure it out.

well this is what i started to do... i buy magazines such as OK! Life & Style, etc and check out their must haves... But, I tailor it to fit my budget, I just steal the ideas and search for similar items that are cheaper. I shop at Target, F21, and at times, Old Navy. The only thing that I buy at an expensive price is my jeans, that I will spend an arm & a leg for because I finally found a brand that fits & I don't have anymore tantrums, so in order to keep my sanity I have to spend $ on jeans.

Do you know if you have a Nordstroms rack where you live?

In any case, checking out magazines like that and surfing the web when you have time, helps with learning to see what coordinates.

I too am not fashion forward, but I watch trends, and such, and it doesn't help when I'm slightly color blind, so my other half always puts in his two sense.

Don't forget about TJ Maxx & Ross! You have to do a lot of digging but the prices are so awesome its usually worth it.
