{Little Fishie}
Courtney had her first swim lesson yesterday. The pool was indoor and so warm. The class started at 11:35 and by the end of it I think she was pretty worn out and ready for a nap. Otherwise, she is definitely on the road to being our water baby. I can't wait until next week. Oh yeah, and I'll be out looking for a one piece suit this week. Luckily my new friend Bonny also sported a two piece suit so I wasn't totally alone in the "who wears a bikini to a mommy and me swim class?"

{13 Months}
This post is a little late but I want to fill you all in on a few new things Courtney is up to.
1) She now signs "please". We are working on "thank you" but she gets that one confused with blowing a kiss. Her other signs are much clearer now "more", "all done", "milk", "hungry/eat/snack" and "please".
2) She says "juice". (as well as "Daisy"...did i mention that last month?)
3) No more crawling. Only walking. {bring on the bruised knees and shins}
4) She has been teething {enter cranky} since she is working on three more teeth.
5) We've cut back her afternoon bottles. Those are now sippys and she really doesn't drink much milk from them, Ugh. We cut out bottles all together for a few days but she's been sick for a day or so and wasn't drinking very many fluids so I gave her a "baba" before bed tonight and she sucked it down.
6) She started her new daycare last week. They said she did great and they wish they could clone her. :) But on the other hand, she's already sick and missed daycare today. :(
And without further ado, some recent photos of my 13 month old.

I ran for 7 minutes, yo.
Yes, yes I did. And although I looked like I was going to die, I was so very proud of myself. I found a gym over the weekend and signed right up. Thank you military discount. They have a nursery for Courtney, tanning beds, a jacuzzi and great hours. I'm so excited to get back in the gym.
I went for my first workout last night. I did all upper body and then cardio on the treadmill. I started out with a 5 minute warmup and then wanted to see how long (or far) I could jog for. When I hit the 5 minute mark I was so peoud of myself but I felt good so I kept going. Once I hit 7 minutes I had ran over a half a mile and didn't want to kill myself right off the bat so I slowed down to a nice walking pace and finished off the 20 minutes. I know it doesn't sound like much, but for someone who remembers the last time she ran a mile being in middle school (and I think I probably cheated) I give myself a pat on the back.
I know how good running is for your health and body, so I really want to learn to "love" it. I want to push myself but also take it slowly so that I don't get burnt out and give up.
I'm excited now. I better start working on updating my ipod!

Just what you need to see to get your fat ass back in the gym!
How is that for a title? All you need to do is google "body after baby" to make yourself feel like a lard ass.
See Alessandra Ambrosio. Three months after having a baby. ::hand over the knife::
Because now that my daughter is 13 MONTHS old, the "I just had a baby" excuse just starts to get you the side eye. I know they're thinking "That's not a baby. That's a toddler you lazy ass."
So on the search I go for a gym in our new town with a nursery for Courtney. Even though I'm 5 pounds under my pre-pregnancy weight, I'm still 10 pounds away from my goal and flabby as all get out. ick!

This just in...
The amazingly talented Jessica Lake at Jessica Lake Photography did an amazeballs job photographing my OOC (out of control) 1 year old, including cleaning up cake from ever crevice of her studio. Here are the results.
